**Kyoto Ichipitsu Ryu Artist / Keisuke Teshima**Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continuously drawn dragon images.Having studied the spirit of Japanese martial arts through 14 years of karate starting at age 6, he encountered the traditional *Ichipitsu Ryu* and was deeply impressed by its technique and history, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique through self-study.He preserves the tradition of the *Ichipitsu Ryu* passed down since the Edo period, pursuing it with the spirit of *Shuhari* (learning, detachment, mastery).He is considered one of only three *Ichipitsu Ryu* artists in Japan.Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, he was guided by various fortunate and inevitable encounters to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto—an ancient city where dragons are believed to dwell, and where the dragon gods are worshipped.
