**Kyoto Ichipitsu Ryu Artist / Keisuke Teshima**Since childhood, fascinated by dragons, he has continued to draw dragon images.Having learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts through 14 years of karate from age 6, he was deeply influenced by the traditional "Ichipitsu Ryu" technique, which he encountered and was profoundly impressed by its history and method. Believing it to be his destiny, he mastered the technique through self-study.He preserves the tradition of the Ichipitsu Ryu from the Edo period, pursuing it with the spirit of "Shuhari" (learning, detachment, mastery).He is one of only three known Ichipitsu Ryu artists in Japan.Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, he was guided by various fortunate and inevitable encounters to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto—an ancient city believed to be inhabited by dragon gods for over 1,000 years.
