**Kyoto Ichipitsu Ryu Artist / Keisuke Teshima**Since childhood, fascinated by dragons, he has continued to draw dragon images.Having studied the spirit of Japanese martial arts through 14 years of karate starting at age 6, he was influenced by traditional "single-stroke" dragon techniques, which left a strong impression on him.He believes it is his destiny and has learned the technique through self-study.While preserving the tradition of the Edo-period "single-stroke" dragons, he pursues the art with the spirit of "Shuhari" (learning, detachment, mastery).He is one of only three known single-stroke dragon artists in Japan.
Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, he was guided by various fortunate and inevitable encounters to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto—an ancient capital where dragons are believed to dwell, and where dragon-related shrines and temples are numerous, and dragon pilgrimages have been actively practiced since ancient times.
