**Kyoto Ichipitsu Ryu Artist / Keisuke Teshima**Since childhood, fascinated by dragons, he has continued to draw dragon images.Having studied the spirit of Japanese martial arts through 14 years of karate starting at age 6, he encountered the traditional "Ichipitsu Ryu" and was deeply impressed by its technique and history, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique through self-study.He preserves the tradition of Ichipitsu Ryu dating back to the Edo period, pursuing it with the spirit of "Shuhari" (learning, detaching, transcending).He is considered one of only three Ichipitsu Ryu artists in Japan.Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, he was guided by various fortunate and inevitable encounters to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto—an ancient city where dragons are believed to dwell, and where the power of dragon gods has been revered for over 1,000 years.
