**Kyoto Ichipitsu Ryu Artist / Keisuke Teshima**Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images.Having studied the spirit of Japanese martial arts through 14 years of karate from age 6, he encountered the traditional "Ichipitsu Ryu" and was deeply impressed by its technique and history, feeling it was his destiny and mastering it through self-study.He preserves the tradition of the Edo period "Ichipitsu Ryu" while pursuing the art with the spirit of "Shuhari" (learning, detachment, mastery).He is one of only three known Ichipitsu Ryu artists in Japan.Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, he was guided by various fortunate and inevitable encounters to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto, a city with a 1,000-year history where dragons are believed to dwell.
