**[Kyoto Ippitsu Ryu Artist / Keisuke Teshima]**Since childhood, captivated by dragons, he has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of karate, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 'Ippitsu Ryu' and was deeply impressed by its technique and history, feeling it was his destiny. He mastered the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of the Ippitsu Ryu passed down since the Edo period, he pursues the art with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (learning, detachment, mastery).
He is considered one of only three Ippitsu Ryu artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and meaningful encounters, he was guided to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto—the ancient capital where dragons are believed to dwell.
**[Kyoto, the City of Dragon Deities]**Kyoto has been regarded for over 1,000 years as a place imbued with the power of dragon deities residing in dragon holes and dragon veins.
