**Artist Profile: Keisuke Teshima**From a young age, captivated by dragons, he has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of karate, where he learned the spirit of traditional Japanese martial arts, he encountered the ancient 'One-Stroke Dragon' technique and was deeply impressed by its craftsmanship and history, feeling it was his destiny. He mastered the technique through self-study, respecting the tradition that has been passed down since the Edo period, and pursues the art with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (learning, detachment, mastery).
He is one of only three known 'One-Stroke Dragon' artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various serendipitous and inevitable encounters, he was guided to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto—a city with a 1,000-year history as the dwelling place of dragon gods.
