**About the Kyoto Ippitsu Ryu Artist / Keisuke Teshima:**
From childhood, he has been captivated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate since age 6, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 'Ippitsu Ryu' and was deeply impressed by its technique and history, feeling it was his destiny. He mastered the technique through self-study, respecting the tradition that has continued since the Edo period, pursuing the dragon with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (learning, detachment, mastery).
He is one of only three known Ippitsu Ryu artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various fortunate and inevitable encounters, he was guided to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto—the ancient capital where dragons are believed to dwell, and where the dragon gods' power is said to reside.
