**About the Artist: Keisuke Teshima, Kyoto One-Stroke Dragon Painter**Since childhood, captivated by dragons, he has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate from age 6, where he learned the spirit of traditional Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 'One-Stroke Dragon' and was deeply impressed by its technique and history, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique through self-study.While preserving the tradition of the 'One-Stroke Dragon' dating back to the Edo period, he pursues the art with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (learning, detachment, mastery).He is considered one of only three 'One-Stroke Dragon' artists in Japan.Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, he has been guided by various fortunate and fateful encounters to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto—the ancient capital where dragons are believed to dwell, and where the power of dragon gods is said to reside for over 1,000 years.
