**About the Artist: Keisuke Teshima, Kyoto One-Stroke Dragon Painter**Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images.Influenced by 14 years of karate, where he learned the spirit of traditional Japanese martial arts, he encountered the ancient 'One-Stroke Dragon' technique and was deeply impressed by its history and craftsmanship, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique through self-study.He preserves the tradition of the Edo-period 'One-Stroke Dragon' while pursuing the art with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (learning, detachment, mastery).He is one of only three known 'One-Stroke Dragon' painters in Japan.Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, he was guided by various fortunate and fateful encounters to establish his atelier in Higashiyama, Kyoto—an ancient city with a 1,000-year history where dragons are believed to dwell.
