【About the product】

Its compact size makes it suitable for display on shelves, chests, or any stand, providing an easy way to decorate anywhere.
It features a simple assembly design that requires no tools. Please see the video for assembly instructions. *The video uses the "New Model Small Jewel Set White & Nadeshiko."

【About Obon】
Obon is a traditional event to welcome the spirits of ancestors and close family members who have passed away. It begins with the "Welcoming Fire" to greet the spirits and ends with the "Sending Fire" to send them off.
Within households, lanterns are arranged as Welcoming and Sending fires to honor the spirits. Since it is the only time of the year when ancestors return, do your best to host them warmly within your means.
Traditionally,
white lanterns for the Shinbonwere prepared by the family of the deceased, while
decorative Obon lanterns with illustrations (used annually)were generally prepared by relatives or acquaintances. However, due to recent changes in living environments, the placement and space for decoration have shifted from Buddhist altars to living rooms and other areas, leading to a trend where the family of the deceased
prepares all lanterns and Obon supplies, while relatives and acquaintances tend to bring offerings (cash, incense, etc.).Furthermore, the timing for starting decorations varies by household. Decorations are usually put up from the 13th (the first day of Obon) to the 16th (the last day), but to avoid rushing, many start gradually in the Obon month (July or August).
Hasegawa responds to various requests regarding Obon offerings and ceremonies.
