【What is Ichifude (One-stroke) Dragon?】As the name suggests, the body of the dragon is drawn in one continuous stroke with a brush, without interruption, while wishing and praying. It is believed to symbolize 'unbroken development and wealth,' 'endless good relationships and growth,' and 'continued protection and safety.' Since the Edo period (1603–1868), for approximately 400 years, these dragons have been revered as powerful protective deities, believed to bring blessings and benefits, and have been passed down with faith.

【Kyoto Ichifude Dragon Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate from age 6, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 'Ichifude Dragon' technique and was deeply impressed by its history and method, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique self-taught. While preserving the tradition of the Ichifude Dragon passed down since the Edo period, he pursues dragons with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (learning, detachment, mastery). He is one of only three Ichifude Dragon artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable connections, he was guided to establish his studio in Higashiyama, Kyoto, the ancient capital where dragons are believed to dwell.
