【What is Ichifude Dragon?】As the name suggests, the Ichifude Dragon is a dragon drawn with a single brushstroke without interruption, embodying wishes and prayers. It is believed to represent ‘unbroken development and wealth,’ ‘endless connections through good relationships and growth,’ and ‘continued protection and safety.’ For approximately 400 years since the Edo period (1603–1868), it has been revered as a powerful guardian deity, with strong blessings and benefits, and has been faithfully passed down as a divine symbol.『Kyoto Ichifude Dragon’s Blessing / Symbol of Blessings and Benefits = drawn in one continuous line without interruption.』

【Kyoto Ichifude Dragon Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continuously drawn dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing ‘Karate-do,’ where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional ‘Ichifude Dragon’ technique and was deeply impressed by its history and method, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of the Ichifude Dragon passed down since the Edo period, he pursues dragons with the spirit of ‘Shuhari’ (a Japanese martial arts concept of learning, detachment, and mastery).He is considered one of only three Ichifude Dragon artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable connections, he was guided to establish his studio in Higashiyama, Kyoto, the ancient capital where dragons are believed to dwell.
