【What is Ichifude Dragon?】As the name suggests, the Ichifude Dragon is a dragon drawn with a single brushstroke, without any breaks in the body, while wishing and praying. 【Kyoto Ichifude Dragon Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate, which teaches the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 『Ichifude Dragon』 technique and was deeply impressed by its history and method, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of Ichifude Dragons dating back to the Edo period, he pursues the art with the spirit of 【Shuhari】 (learning, detachment, mastery). He is one of only three Ichifude Dragon artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable encounters, he was guided to establish his atelier in Higashiyama, Kyoto, a city with a 1,000-year history where dragons are believed to dwell.
