Influenced by 14 years of karate, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 'One-Stroke Dragon' and was deeply impressed by its technique and history, feeling it was his destiny. He mastered the technique through self-study.While preserving the tradition of the Edo-period 'One-Stroke Dragon,' he pursues it with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (learning, detachment, mastery).He is one of only three known 'One-Stroke Dragon' artists in Japan.Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, he was guided by various fortunate and fateful encounters to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto—a city with a 1,000-year history of dragons dwelling in its sacred sites.
