This is a bright-colored Buddhist altar made using popular oak wood, which is also used for furniture.
The final process, which determines the quality of the Buddhist altar, is finished by domestic craftsmen to maximize the texture (such as the wood grain) of the oak wood.

Shizuoka Prefecture began with lacquerware production during the Edo period, and by the mid-Meiji period, the production of Western-style furniture started.
Buddhist altars began to be manufactured as a derivative of furniture in the Showa era, and production has continued to flourish alongside furniture to this day.

Gratia's simple design pays attention to detail, with soft rounded edges, uniform paint matching each piece of wood, and carefully crafted thick and curved boards.
