The final finishing process, which greatly influences the quality of the Buddhist altar, is also completed by domestic craftsmen to maximize the texture (such as the wood grain) of the oak wood.

Shizuoka Prefecture began with Edo period lacquerware production, and by the mid-Meiji period, the production of Western-style furniture started.
The Buddhist altar began to be manufactured as a derivative of furniture in the Showa era, and production has continued to flourish alongside furniture to this day.

Gratia's simple design allows for attention to detail, with softly rounded corners, uniform paint matching each piece of wood, and carefully crafted thick and curved boards.
