ラインも針も強靭になってきたので、スプリットリングの弱さが目立ってしまうということで、開発作製したのがエスピーリングでした。最近は全てが数段に良くなり、一番のウイークポイントは、リーダーの結束部です。
強靭さから比較すれば、打ち抜きリングが一番なのですが、どうしても線が細い為、ラインの破断の原因になってしまいます。ですから、リーダー部分に使用することに関していえば、太い丸線の溶接リング＞丸線の溶接リング＞打ち抜きリングということになります。
アシストフックの取り付け位置は、右記のように溶接リングに直接アシストフックを取り付けるという方法もあるのですが、バーチカルジギングの場合、釣る対象が大きい為、エスピーリングとアシストフックのラインとが擦れることが、破断の原因になりますので、上記のように取り付けていただくことをお勧めします。
