One of the series, the Ichimatsu pattern, features a regular checkered design that also carries the meaning of "prosperity of descendants" and "continuity of business."
The auspicious motifs are modernized to harmonize with contemporary lifestyles, blending tradition with modern design.

Each piece of high-quality canvas is hand-dyed by artisans at a dyeing factory in Kyoto.
The use of traditional techniques results in rich colors and a unique texture.
Close-up images of the pattern reveal delicate color overlaps characteristic of hand-dyeing.

**The Wishes and Prayers Embedded in the Ichimatsu Pattern**

It is reminiscent of kabuki actor Sano-gawa Ichimatsu, who appeared in stylish white and navy costumes, captivating audiences, especially women, who eagerly adopted the look.
Originally called "Ishidatami" (stone pavement pattern), it was renamed Ichimatsu due to its popularity.
