This is a standard model created with the aim of reproducing the paper patch of Levi's 501 XX from the 1950s.The silhouette is traced from vintage pieces owned by TCB, and the sewing threads are selected carefully, matching the ply and color at each point.The rise is deep, with a slightly tapered fit towards the hem, offering a relaxed silhouette.The fabric used is approximately 13.5 oz Zimbabwe cotton.It is produced not by forced unevenness via modern computer-controlled methods, but through traditional spinning machine adjustments.The characteristic "Ari" (fading pattern) features thick, short fades that naturally connect into lines, creating an optimal vertical fall.All paper patches are handmade.The idea is that as the base color fades, the paper patch tears, revealing a darker fabric underneath.The selvage area of vintage jeans, often sewn roughly, is reproduced here with no issues of strength.The sewing threads come in four colors, with five different ply sizes used throughout.Depending on the sewing area, the width of the stitches varies, and there are many points of interest such as sewing machine adjustments and modifications.The waistband is sewn with chain stitches all the way to the belt loop, without topstitching underneath.The edges are finished without inserting a color ring, leaving them exposed intentionally.
