Karimoku Furniture Co., Ltd., headquartered in Aichi Prefecture, is a leading Japanese furniture manufacturer known for its meticulous craftsmanship.
Since its founding in 1947, it has gained many fans both domestically and internationally.

"Solid Board Just," a design that harmonizes with modern living spaces. Its soft, warm wood grain does not darken the room even when placed in the living room.

There is a "moulding" attached to the parts of the house that contact the wall and floor.
When installing furniture, having a moulding can create gaps between the furniture and the wall. This product's lower stand has a moulding clearance, allowing it to fit snugly against the wall.

Designs that perfectly match slim furniture are unique to Karimoku Furniture.
Designed to blend seamlessly into living rooms or Japanese-style rooms, with a compact size that does not disrupt the room's atmosphere.

【Features of the Buddhist altar body】
The Buddhist altar has a carved indentation with a gentle rounded shape where fingers can grip when opening and closing the front door, providing a gentle touch.
The door, which rotates 270 degrees, can be stored on the side of the main body. It folds in two stages, avoiding unnecessary space in front or on the side.

The door panel uses laminated solid wood made by connecting solid wood square timbers, considering the burden on the global environment.
The unique expressions of each piece of natural wood, with different grains, create an everlasting beauty. This is a proud technology of Karimoku Furniture.
The beautiful shadows created by the unevenness of the solid wood doors give an impression that makes it unrecognizable as a Buddhist altar when closed.

Simply push the drawer and close the door in two easy steps to complete the tidying up. The internal drawer, which can be moved while holding the Buddhist ritual equipment, is very user-friendly.

The light switch is located on the interior ceiling on the right side when facing the altar.
The lighting illuminates the main image and memorial tablets brightly from the front.

The beautiful wood grain engraved on the Sumeru shelf (internal shelf) provides a warm accent.
The height of the Sumeru shelf (internal shelf), which can be adjusted in three steps, can be changed to accommodate different sizes of Buddhist statues and memorial tablets.
The back of the Buddhist altar body can be adjusted with screws. Please refer to the video for details.

【Features of the lower stand】
The lower stand includes a thin drawer for placing Buddhist ritual items and offerings. It allows for decorative arrangements utilizing the wide space, such as placing lanterns during Obon.
The thin drawer has stoppers to prevent Buddhist ritual items from falling and to ensure stability. The part where fingers grip when opening and closing has a carved indentation with a gentle rounded shape, providing a soft touch.

Two shelves are included in the storage space, adjustable in 3cm increments over 10 levels.
Feel free to store items such as incense, candles, or cherished belongings with the deceased.

If the door appears tilted, it can be adjusted using the adjustment screw on the internal hinges of the lower stand.

Connecting fittings for the Buddhist altar are included. They prevent the altar from shifting from the installation location during use.

Adjusters are located on four points of the internal bottom surface, allowing fine-tuning of the main body’s tilt.

【Features of the stool】
The stool has carved indentations with gentle rounded shapes on both sides for easy carrying, providing a soft touch.
The seat has a gentle curve, making it comfortable to sit on, and it has a sharp, refined silhouette.

The wood grain pattern created by natural materials is a unique feature, like individual human personalities.
- The "shade of color" varies depending on the part used
- The "tiger stripe" pattern, resembling tiger markings, appears as a pathway for water and nutrients, called "Tora-fu"
- The "knot" formed where a branch joins the trunk, enveloped by the trunk
- "Color changes" that occur over time
These reflect the growth and history of the trees.
