Walnut, which is also popular for furniture, has the most familiar grain and color among woods for humans and is a material with excellent durability.
Using this walnut, the final process that determines the quality of the Buddhist altar is finished by domestic craftsmen to maximize the texture (such as the grain) of the walnut and to produce a calm color tone.

Shizuoka Prefecture began with lacquerware production during the Edo period, and in the mid-Meiji era, the production of Western-style furniture started.
Buddhist altars began to be manufactured as a derivative from furniture in the Showa era, and production has been active to this day, similar to furniture.

Because GratíaⅡ has a simple design, it pays attention to detail, such as softly rounded corners, uniform paint matching each piece of wood, and carefully crafted thick and curved boards.
