【Kyoto-style One-Stroke Dragon Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continuously drawn dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 'one-stroke dragon' technique and was deeply impressed by its history and method, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique self-taught, respecting the tradition that has continued since the Edo period, pursuing dragons with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (a Japanese martial arts concept of learning, detachment, and mastery). He is one of only three known one-stroke dragon artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable connections, he was guided to establish his studio in Higashiyama, Kyoto, a city with a 1,000-year history where dragon gods are believed to dwell.
【Kyoto, the City of Dragon Gods】Kyoto has been considered a place with the power of dragon spirits residing in dragon holes and dragon veins for over 1,000 years. Many shrines and temples associated with dragons exist, and pilgrimages to honor dragon gods have been actively carried out from ancient times to the present.
【Dragon (Ryujin) Belief in Japan】Japan has long been regarded as a mysterious land where dragons dwell, and dragons are considered messengers of gods or even gods themselves. Many shrines, temples, myths, and legends worship dragon gods as symbols of prosperity and protection.
【For Personal/Home Use, or for Companies, Shops, Clinics, Facilities, etc.】Ideal as gifts or celebrations for various occasions such as:- Moving, promotion, new president appointment, opening, anniversary, relocation, clinic opening, establishment, new construction, independence, company prosperity, career advancement, business success- Birth, shrine visit, first meal, first festival, safe childbirth, child blessing- Entrance, school admission, Shichi-Go-San, Peach Festival, Boys’ Festival, graduation, adult ceremony, academic achievement, exam success- Sports events, competitions, exams, recitals, victory prayers- Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Respect for the Aged Day, Kanreki, Koki, Kiju, Sanju, Beiju, celebration of longevity, health, and safety- Wedding anniversaries, Golden Wedding, marital harmony- New Year, Setsubun, birthdays- Auspicious days: Tensei-nichi, Ichiryumanbai, Daian- Prayers for warding off evil, disease prevention, traffic safety
