【Kyoto One-Stroke Dragon Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate from age 6, through which he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 『Hitofude Dragon』 and was deeply impressed by its technique and history, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of the Edo-period (1603–1868) Hitofude Dragons, he pursues them with the spirit of 【Shuhari】 (a martial arts concept of learning, detachment, and mastery). He is one of only three known Hitofude Dragon artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable connections, he was guided to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto, a city with a 1,000-year history where dragon gods dwell.
【Kyoto: The City Where Dragon Gods Reside】Kyoto has been regarded for over 1,000 years as a place imbued with the power of dragon spirits residing in dragon holes and dragon veins. Many shrines and temples associated with dragons exist, and pilgrimages to worship the dragon gods have been actively carried out from ancient times to the present.
【Dragon (Ryujin) Belief in Japan】Japan has long been considered a mysterious land where dragons dwell, regarded as divine messengers or even as deities themselves. Many shrines, temples, myths, and legends worship the dragon gods, symbolizing prosperity and protection.
【For Your Home (Personal Use), Company, Shop, Clinic, or Facility】Ideal for commemorations, events, and various gifts or celebrations such as:- Moving, promotion, company president appointment, opening, anniversary, relocation, clinic opening, establishment, new construction, independence, company prosperity, career advancement, business success- Birth, shrine visit, first meal, first festival, safe delivery prayers, child blessing- Enrollment, school entrance, Shichi-Go-San, Peach Festival, Boys’ Festival, graduation, adult ceremony, academic achievement, exam success- Sports events, competitions, exams, presentations, victory prayers- Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Respect for the Aged Day, Kanreki, Koki, Kiju, Sanju, Beiju, milestone birthdays, health longevity, disease healing- Wedding anniversaries, Golden Wedding, marital harmony- New Year, Setsubun, birthdays- Auspicious days such as Tensei-nichi, Ichiryumanbai, Daian- Prayers for warding off evil, disease prevention, traffic safety
