**T-Shirt Body:**Produced in Japan by a T-shirt manufacturer with 43 years of history and the number one market share in Japan.* Business partners: Over 10,000 companies* Annual sales: Approximately 45 million garments across Japan* Annual turnover: 20 billion yen* Extensive OEM experience for major department stores, large apparel retailers, and various brand shops.
**Printing Factory:**Printed at a T-shirt printing factory that owns multiple proprietary plants in Fukui Prefecture.* Annual capacity: Approximately 800,000 garments.
**Final Setup, Inspection, Packaging, and Logistics:**Final finishing, inspection, packaging, and comprehensive domestic/international logistics management are handled by the Kyoto Ippitsuryu Secretariat Tailoring Studio (Our own factory in Higashiosaka City, Osaka).* Depending on the quantity, partner companies may also assist.
**Transfer (DTF) Printing:**A method where the design is printed onto a special film and then heat-pressed onto the fabric using a professional press. This method requires no plate making, has no color limits, and allows for printing on non-cotton fabrics. It enables high-precision, vivid full-color designs and photo prints.* **Disadvantage:** There is a possibility that the printed surface may peel over time or due to repeated washing.
**Precautions:*** For dark-colored garments, a pre-treatment agent is used during printing, which may leave a stain-like mark on the treated area. The garment will be delivered with this mark, but it will become inconspicuous after several washes with water.* If the garment is dried while the printed surfaces are touching, the print may peel. Please separate the printed surfaces as soon as possible after the spin cycle in the washing machine.* Turning the garment inside out and hand-washing will help the color last longer. If using a washing machine, please use a laundry net.* Avoid using bleach and dry cleaning. Avoid ironing or using a dryer as much as possible.* Some garments may lose color during the first wash. We recommend washing separately from other items for the first time.
**What is Ippitsuryu (One-Stroke Dragon)?**As the name suggests, it is a dragon whose body is drawn with a single, uninterrupted brushstroke while infusing the work with prayers and wishes. This signifies that "prosperity and financial fortune will not be interrupted," "good matches and growth will continuously connect people," and "protection and safety will be maintained." For approximately 400 years since the Edo period (1603–), these dragons have been revered as powerful deities (Ryujin) believed to provide strong protection and blessings.
**"The symbol of Kyoto Ippitsuryu protection/blessing = Drawing the body in a single stroke without any breaks."**We have tailored the traditionally worshipped Ippitsuryu into a familiar fashion item: the T-shirt. Please enjoy wearing it on its own or combining it with various fashion styles.
* We have produced and tailored 26 divine types/colors of Kyoto Ippitsuryu paintings (Ascending Luck, Protection, Matchmaking) in various styles, specifications, and materials.
**Common Impressions of Kyoto Ippitsuryu Drawings:*** Feeling of protection and blessings, divine, sense of elation, feeling protected, sense of motion/power, overwhelming vividness, beautiful, cool, strength, brilliant, delicate, momentum, purity.
**Kyoto Ippitsuryu Artist: Keisuke Teshima**Fascinated by dragons since childhood, he has continued to draw them throughout his life. Influenced by the spirit of Japanese "Do" (the Way) learned through 14 years of Karate starting at age six, he encountered the traditional "Ippitsuryu." Deeply moved by its techniques and history, he felt it was his calling and mastered the technique through self-study. While preserving the traditions of Ippitsuryu dating back to the Edo period, he pursues the dragon through the spirit of "Shu-Ha-Ri" (obey, detach, transcend). He is one of only three Ippitsuryu artists said to exist in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, a series of coincidences and inevitable connections led him to establish his studio in Higashiyama, Kyoto—the 1,000-year-old capital where the Dragon God is said to dwell.
**Kyoto: The Capital Where the Dragon God Dwells**For over 1,000 years, Kyoto has been regarded as a place possessed of the power of the Dragon God, residing in "Dragon Holes" (Ryuketsu) and "Dragon Veins" (Ryumyaku). Numerous shrines and temples associated with dragons exist here, and pilgrimages to honor the Dragon God remain popular to this day.
**Dragons in Japan (Dragon God Worship)**Since ancient times, Japan has been considered a mystical country inhabited by dragons, where they are viewed as messengers of the gods or as deities themselves. In many shrines, temples, myths, and legends, the Dragon God is worshipped and revered as a symbol of "Prosperity" and "Protection."
