【What is Ichifude Ryu?】As the name suggests, Ichifude Ryu is a dragon drawn with a single brush stroke, continuously without interruption, while wishing and praying. 【Kyoto Ichifude Ryu Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continuously drawn dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 『Ichifude Ryu』 technique and was deeply impressed by its history and method, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of Ichifude Ryu dating back to the Edo period, he pursues dragons with the spirit of 【Shuhari】 (a concept of learning, detachment, and mastery). He is one of only three Ichifude Ryu artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable connections, he was guided to establish his atelier in Higashiyama, Kyoto, a city with a 1,000-year history where dragon gods are believed to dwell.
