【What is Ichifude Dragon?】As the name suggests, the Dragon is drawn in one continuous stroke with a brush, without breaking the body, while wishing and praying. 【Kyoto Ichifude Dragon Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 『Ichifude Dragon』 technique and was deeply impressed by its history and method, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of the Ichifude Dragon passed down since the Edo period, he pursues dragons with the spirit of 【Shuhari】 (a martial arts concept of learning, detachment, and mastery). He is one of only three Ichifude Dragon artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable connections, he was guided to establish his studio in Higashiyama, Kyoto, a city with a 1,000-year history where dragons are believed to dwell.
