【What is Ichifude Dragon?】As the name suggests, the Ichifude Dragon is a dragon drawn with a single brushstroke (one-fude) without breaking the body line, while expressing wishes and prayers. 【Kyoto Ichifude Dragon Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate from age 6, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional ‘Ichifude Dragon’ technique and was deeply impressed by its history and method. Believing it to be his divine mission, he learned the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of the Ichifude Dragon dating back to the Edo period, he pursues the art with the spirit of ‘Shuhari’ (learning, detachment, mastery). He is one of only three Ichifude Dragon artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable connections, he was guided to establish his studio in Higashiyama, Kyoto, the ancient capital where dragons are believed to dwell.
