【What is Ichifude Ryu?】As the name suggests, Ichifude Ryu is a dragon drawn with a single brush stroke without any interruption, embodying wishes and prayers. 【Kyoto Ichifude Ryu Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate from age 6, through which he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 'Ichifude Ryu' technique and was deeply impressed by its history and method. Believing it to be his divine mission, he learned the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of Ichifude Ryu dating back to the Edo period, he pursues the art with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (learning, detachment, mastery). He is one of only three known Ichifude Ryu artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, he was guided by various fortunate and inevitable encounters to establish his studio in Higashiyama, Kyoto, a city with a 1,000-year history where dragons are believed to dwell.
