【What is Ichifude Dragon?】As the name suggests, the Ichifude Dragon is drawn with a single brush stroke (one-fude) without breaking the body part, while containing wishes and prayers. It is believed to represent 'uninterrupted development and wealth,' 'endless good relationships and growth,' and 'continued protection and safety.' For approximately 400 years since the Edo period (1603–1868), it has been revered as a powerful guardian deity, with strong blessings and benefits, and has been faithfully handed down as a divine dragon.* 'Kyoto Ichifude Dragon's blessing/protection—an emblem of benefits—is drawn in one continuous stroke without breaking the body part.' *

【Kyoto Ichifude Dragon Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of karate, which he practiced from age 6, and learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 'Ichifude Dragon' technique. He was deeply impressed by its history and technique, felt it was his destiny, and learned it through self-study. While preserving the tradition of the Ichifude Dragon passed down since the Edo period, he pursues the dragon with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (a martial arts concept of learning, detachment, and mastery).He is one of only three Ichifude Dragon artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable connections, he was guided to establish his studio in Higashiyama, Kyoto, the ancient capital where dragons are believed to dwell.
