【What is Ichifudragon?】As the name suggests, the Ichifudragon is a dragon drawn with a single brushstroke without interruption, embodying wishes and prayers. It is believed to represent 'unbroken development and wealth,' 'endless good relationships and growth,' and 'continued protection and safety.' Since the Edo period (1603–1868), it has been revered as a powerful guardian deity, with strong blessings and benefits, passed down through belief and tradition for approximately 400 years.*The 'Kyoto Ichifudragon's blessing / symbol of benefits' is depicted as a continuous brushstroke that does not break the dragon's body.*

【Kyoto Ichifudragon Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate from age 6, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 'Ichifudragon' technique and was deeply impressed by its history and significance. Believing it to be his divine mission, he learned the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of Ichifudragon passed down since the Edo period, he pursues dragons with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (learning, detachment, mastery).He is one of only three Ichifudragon artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable connections, he was guided to establish his studio in Higashiyama, Kyoto, a city with a 1,000-year history where dragons are believed to dwell.
