【What is Ichifude Dragon?】As the name suggests, the Ichifude Dragon is a dragon drawn with a single brushstroke (one stroke) that continuously depicts the dragon’s body without interruption, while expressing wishes and prayers. It is believed to represent:- Unbroken development and financial luck- Endless connections through good relationships and growth- Continuous protection and safetySince the Edo period (1603–1868), for approximately 400 years, it has been revered as a powerful guardian deity, believed to bring blessings and benefits, and has been faithfully handed down and trusted as a divine dragon.

【Kyoto Ichifude Dragon Artist / Keisuke Tejima】From childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional ‘Ichifude Dragon’ technique and was deeply impressed by its history and method. Believing it to be his divine calling, he learned the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of the Ichifude Dragon that has been passed down since the Edo period, he pursues the art with the spirit of ‘Shuhari’ (learning, detachment, mastery). He is one of only three Ichifude Dragon artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable encounters, he was guided to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto, a city with a 1,000-year history where dragons are believed to dwell.
