【What is Ichifudragon?】As the name suggests, the Ichifudragon is a dragon drawn with a single brush stroke, continuously without interruption, while wishing and praying. 【Kyoto Ichifudragon Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate from age 6, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 『Ichifudragon』 technique and was deeply impressed by its history and method, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of Ichifudragon passed down since the Edo period, he pursues the art with the spirit of 【Shuhari】 (learning, detachment, mastery). He is one of only three Ichifudragon artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable connections, he was guided to establish his atelier in Higashiyama, Kyoto, a city with a 1,000-year history where dragons are believed to dwell.
