【What is Ichifude Ryu?】As the name suggests, Ichifude Ryu is a dragon drawn with a single brushstroke (one-fude) without interruption, embodying wishes and prayers. 【Kyoto Ichifude Ryu Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, captivated by dragons, he has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 『Ichifude Ryu』 technique, which deeply impressed him with its history and method. Believing it to be his divine calling, he learned the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of Ichifude Ryu dating back to the Edo period, he pursues the art with the spirit of 【Shuhari】 (learning, detachment, mastery). He is one of only three known Ichifude Ryu artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable encounters, he was guided to establish his atelier in Higashiyama, Kyoto, the ancient capital where dragons are believed to dwell.
