【What is Ichifudragon?】As the name suggests, the dragon is drawn with a single brush stroke (Ichifude) without interruption, embodying wishes and prayers. 【Kyoto Ichifudragon Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continuously drawn dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of karate, which he practiced from age 6, he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts. He encountered the traditional 『Ichifudragon』 technique and was deeply impressed by its history and significance, feeling it was his destiny. He mastered the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of Ichifudragon dating back to the Edo period, he pursues dragons with the spirit of 【Shuhari】 (a martial arts concept of learning, detachment, and mastery). He is one of only three Ichifudragon artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable connections, he was guided to establish his atelier in Higashiyama, Kyoto, a city with a 1,000-year history where dragon gods are believed to dwell.
