**About the Kyoto Ippitsu Ryu Artist / Keisuke Teshima:**Inspired by dragons from childhood, he has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of karate, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 'Ippitsu Ryu' and was deeply impressed by its technique, history, and significance, feeling it was his destiny. He mastered the technique through self-study.He preserves the tradition of the Ippitsu Ryu that has been passed down since the Edo period, pursuing it with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (learning, detachment, mastery).One of only three Ippitsu Ryu artists believed to exist in Japan.Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, he now resides in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto, where his atelier is located—guided by various serendipitous and inevitable encounters, as if led by the dragon gods themselves.
