**【Kyoto One-Stroke Dragon Artist / Keisuke Teshima】**Since childhood, captivated by dragons, he has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate from age 6, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 'One-Stroke Dragon' and was deeply impressed by its technique, history, and significance, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique through self-study.
While preserving the tradition of the One-Stroke Dragon dating back to the Edo period, he pursues the art with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (learning, detachment, mastery).
He is considered one of only three in Japan to be recognized as a One-Stroke Dragon artist. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and meaningful encounters, he was guided to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto—the ancient capital where dragons are believed to dwell.
**【Kyoto—The City of Dragons】**Kyoto has been regarded for over 1,000 years as a place imbued with the power of dragon veins and dragon holes. Many shrines and temples associated with dragons exist, and pilgrimages to worship the dragon gods have been actively carried out since ancient times.
**【Dragon (Ryujin) Belief in Japan】**Japan has long been considered a mysterious land where dragons dwell, regarded as messengers of the gods or as divine beings themselves. Many shrines, temples, myths, and legends worship dragons as symbols of prosperity and protection.
