After washing, peel apart the print surfaces as soon as possible.- Washing inside out and hand washing is recommended for better color retention. **About the Artist: Keisuke Teshima, Kyoto One-Stroke Dragon Painter**Since childhood, he has been captivated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of karate, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 'One-Stroke Dragon' and was deeply impressed by its technique and history, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique through self-study, respecting the tradition that has continued for over 400 years since the Edo period. He pursues dragons with the spirit of 'Shuhari' (a Japanese martial arts concept of learning, detachment, and mastery). He is one of only three known 'One-Stroke Dragon' artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, he was guided by various fortunate and fateful encounters to establish his atelier in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto—a city with a 1,000-year history where dragons are believed to dwell.
**Kyoto—The City of Dragons**Kyoto has been considered a place with the power of dragon veins and dragon holes for over a thousand years. Many shrines and temples associated with dragons exist, and pilgrimages to worship the dragon gods have been actively carried out from ancient times to the present.
**Dragon (Ryujin) Belief in Japan**Japan has long been regarded as a mysterious land inhabited by dragons, where they are considered divine messengers or even deities. Many shrines, temples, myths, and legends worship dragons as symbols of prosperity and protection, venerating them as divine beings.
