The 4th Escort Squadron is based in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and is composed of the 4th Escort Squadron, based in Kure, and the 8th Escort Squadron, based in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture.

The logo was designed when the 4th Escort Squadron Command transferred to Kure. It features the Yatagarasu, a bird deeply associated with Kure, symbolizing protection of Japan with its large wings.

The lining is made of stretchable and water-absorbent fleece (fleece lining). Despite its durable thickness suitable for rough use, it has a soft texture and comfortable feel against the skin. It is a versatile piece ideal for layering during seasonal changes or as indoor wear.
