The "Shiawase no Mon'yō" (Patterns of Happiness) series is an original design created in collaboration with textile designers, focusing on the "meaning of wishing for happiness" inherent in traditional Japanese patterns.
One of the series, the Seigaiha (Blue Ocean Waves), features a pattern symbolizing "eternal prosperity" and "family fortune," with waves that continue infinitely. The motif is designed to be modern and harmonize with contemporary lifestyles, while still embodying auspicious symbolism.

Enhance your experience of visiting shrines and temples with this product.
The size of the Goshuincho (stamp book) is a large B6 size, measuring 18cm (7.08 inches) in height and 12cm (4.72 inches) in width. Its convenient size allows for neat placement of stamped seals.
The book features 48 pages in total (24 sheets, double-sided), with an accordion fold design. When opened, it displays multiple goshuin (temple stamps) at a glance, thanks to the long, folded sheet.
Besides being used as a goshuin book, it can also serve as a mini notebook, scrapbook, travel journal, recipe book, or portfolio—its versatility is one of its charms.
Every time you hold it, your mind will be centered, making your visits to shrines and temples even more enriching.
**The Charm of Hand-Dyed Craftsmanship**
The washi paper used in this goshuincho is hand-dyed by Yuzen washi dyeing artisans at a specialized factory in Kyoto.
It features deep, rich colors and a unique texture created through traditional techniques.
Close-up images reveal the delicate layering of colors characteristic of hand-dyeing. Subtle gradations and bleeding enhance the handcrafted feel, creating a one-of-a-kind beauty.
Each sheet is carefully dyed during the printing process, resulting in depth and warmth that cannot be achieved with mere printing.
The hand-dyed washi paper is then meticulously assembled into each book by Kyoto’s box-making artisans, with each piece slightly different, adding a sense of exclusivity and specialness.
Please experience the texture and warmth that only skilled craftsmanship can produce.
**The Wishes and Prayers Embedded in the Seigaiha Pattern**
The endless waves symbolize abundance.
Large swirling waves and smaller, calmer waves are depicted in a lively, pop-style Seigaiha pattern, with overlapping arches resembling fans.
This motif is a significant symbol for people worldwide, especially those living near the sea, and can be seen not only in Japan but also in Egypt, Persia, and other regions.
It appears in the Heian-era story "The Tale of Genji" and became popular among common people again during the Edo period.
As a symbol of plentiful blessings and infinite prosperity, it is loved as an auspicious motif and is often given as a gift for weddings or housewarmings.
The color options include a refreshing blue tone and a warm brown tone. While subdued, these colors are distinctive and make excellent accessories for goshuin collecting.
*Please note that, since the pattern is cut from large sheets, there may be individual differences in pattern placement. Thank you for your understanding.*
