This is a unique stream-type lure with a front-fixed lip design.
Although it features a relatively large lip shape, its casting distance is not at all problematic. Upon water contact, it quickly bites into the water and swims properly even in flowing currents, effectively attracting fish.
For example, when fishing upstream, you wind the lure in the direction of the river flow. With general lures, you might feel the movement starting to become noticeable when the flow becomes gentle around the eddies. However, with the Ro-ra, you can sense the lure's movement at an earlier stage, which allows for a quicker appeal to the fish.
I have been using it since last year. Personally, I use it in situations such as:
- When there are eddies or points with fast currents less than one meter apart,
- When I want the lure to swim steadily in the flow,
- When I want to sink it into deep areas and work the bottom thoroughly (using the sinking type).
I drop the lure into the eddy, attract fish from the bubbles, and then either time the moment it emerges from the bubbles or target areas just below the bubbles where it isn't covered by foam.
It is quite versatile, and once accustomed to it, adjusting the retrieval speed and rod movements (up and down) makes it a highly effective all-round lure.
