【Kyoto Yumemiya Crafted】
In collaboration with Yumemiya, which handles interior accessories and miscellaneous goods made with chirimen, we developed our original chirimen seasonal decoration box.
Yumemiya’s products are all handmade from design to manufacturing, carefully crafted by Kyoto artisans one by one.

Chirimen is a traditional Japanese woven fabric. Unlike regular cloth, it uses twisted (braided) threads intentionally shrunk to create a textured surface with unevenness.
It has a good texture and a gentle feel, widely used as fabric for traditional Japanese clothing.

Chirimen has a luxurious feel and a soft texture, making it popular for use in traditional Japanese garments, wrapping cloths, drawstring bags, covers for Goshuincho (temple stamp books), and small Japanese accessories, as well as for Buddhist altar supplies such as Juzu bags and Fukusa (cloth for wrapping sacred objects).
