In collaboration with Yumemiya, which handles interior accessories and miscellaneous goods made from chirimen, we developed our original chirimen seasonal arrangement box.
Yumemiya’s products are all handmade from design to manufacturing, carefully crafted by Kyoto artisans one by one.

Chirimen is a traditional Japanese woven fabric. Unlike regular cloth, it uses twisted (tortured) threads intentionally shrunk to create a textured surface with unevenness.
It has a good texture and a gentle feel, and is widely used as fabric for traditional Japanese clothing.

Chirimen has a luxurious feel and creates a calm atmosphere, and is often used not only for kimono fabric but also for furoshiki, kinchaku, covers for goshuincho, Japanese accessories, and Buddhist altar items such as juzu bags and fukusa.
