BURLAP OUTFITTER（バーラップアウトフィッター）は2016年にスタートした注目のジャパンブランド。
コンセプトは「ASK THE FABRIC」。
アウトドア業界で最先端をいくハイテク素材を使用し、日常に落とし込んでいく。

私たちがこのBURLAP OUTFITTERを始めるきっかけとなったのが、ある大人の事情。
もともと某有名アウトドアブランドを担当していたデザイナーや工場。
ある日、そのアウトドアブランドが買収されるとともにデザイナーや生産工場が変わってしまうことに。
デザイナーや生産工場は、ブランドにとっては欠かすことのできない柱となるもの。
もちろん、変更後のデザイナーや生産工場もとても魅力的なものだったので、そっちも楽しみ。
ただ、BURLAP OUTRITTERを作り上げているデザイナーや生産工場が作りだすアイテムは、やはりこのチームでないと作りだせないはず。
このフリースカーディガンもバーラップアウトフィッターらしい仕掛けが盛り込まれている。
使用した生地は米軍から放出されたポリエステルのフリース地。
軽く柔らかく、保温力も抜群だ。
タクティカル好きじゃなくともハマってしまう生地だ。
そして最大の特徴がパッチワーク。
プリントではなく、別のフリース地をダイヤモンド型にカットし縫製している。
ものすごく手間と時間がかかる方法だ。
でもこのパッチワークが生み出すコントラストが抜群に良い。
それにフリース地ならではの温か味も加わって、もう何とも言えない仕上がりに。
何を隠そう、僕自身が展示会で一目惚れしてしまい即個人オーダーしてしまった。
サイズ感は少しゆったりめ。
デザインフルなアイテムだけど着心地も抜群だから、ストレスフリー。
ケアが楽なのも嬉しいポイントだ。
デニムパンツやチノパン、シンプルなボトムに合わせるだけでセンス溢れる着こなしを楽しめる。
