NEW Blade System "Kashima System"
The blade system, named "Kashima System" because of its many blades that create a "noisy" (kashimashii) effect, employs a rather novel system as you can see.
The Kashima System was developed while trying to figure out how to conquer the micro bait pattern, which is notoriously difficult to get bites on. The key is its ability to imitate multiple baits, similar to an Alabama rig. We've been catching a considerable number of fish that previously wouldn't commit.
But before we go further. It's not widely recognized, but one reason why Metal Maru is so effective is its ability to create the illusion of multiple baits. When asked, "Why are Metal Maru so effective?", people are often surprised when I explain the concept of multiple baits created by the body and blade, but perhaps not many people consciously think about this.
When a school of small fish is targeted by a predator, they try to stay together to avoid scattering. Even if targeted, they try to hide within the school, forcing the predator to switch targets (switch their focus) to avoid locking onto a single individual. By rapidly switching targets, they make it difficult for the predator to focus, preventing them from being preyed upon and encouraging the predator to give up. This is the survival strategy of the weak.
Therefore, predators employ various tactics to attack schools, such as reducing the size of the school or creating pressure to scatter them, making it easier to lock onto a target.
The reason spinnerbaits are commonly used for bass, and why the Alabama rig gained popularity, is their ability to imitate a small group of baits. As you likely know, a small group that is easy to target can easily trigger the predatory instinct of individual predators or groups.
This "Kashima System" is a minimized version of that concept. (Design registered)
[Micro Bait Pattern]
One reason lures are ignored in the micro bait pattern is the size. When micro bait is abundant, fish tend to not chase (or pay much attention to) larger, single baits. This micro blade system addresses the micro bait pattern by attaching multiple small blades to the hook. While one popular method today is to reduce the lure's overall form using tungsten material, BREADEN proposes this new approach.
