We hope your 2021 was a safe, healthy, and happy one — especially with everything going on in the world right now.
As for us, we’ve had an exciting year to say the least, and are so glad that we’ve been able to share each step of the journey with you all.
More than anything, this year has reaffirmed in our minds just how important the concepts of community and reciprocation are.
Nothing makes us happier than to be able to share awesome stuff from Japan with all of you — be it food, fashion, or just plain cool merch — so we hope you get as much satisfaction out of receiving it as we do by providing it!
Looking back at 2021
In 2021, we:
- Launched our new domain, ZenPlus.jp, to make buying from Japan easier and faster than ever before
- Expanded our shopping platform to 8 million product listings and over 1,600 stores
- Introduced our Japanese language version of the site, especially geared to Japanese people living overseas that need an easy, reliable way to buy from Japan
- Boosted ZenPlus functionality with convenient features like store-specific searches, automatic presentation of related search results for items out of stock, and discount coupons
- Gave back to the community with 10 giveaways and thousands of excited entrants via email and social media — with cool stuff like Nintendo Switches, premium Japanese camping gear, and adorable Rilakkuma plushies going to the lucky winners
- Collaborated with more than 80 influencers to help grow the community and spread Japanese culture even further
- Doubled our Instagram following and grew our Twitter following by 1000%
It’s definitely been a whirlwind year — and we couldn’t have done it without your being there every step of the way.
So a resounding thank you to you, from the bottom of our hearts!

New Year holiday
Please note that the ZenPlus office and warehouse will be closed over the above period.
During this time, we unfortunately won’t be able to respond to email or social media messages, or pack or ship orders. Sorry for the inconvenience!
ZenPlus.jp itself will of course be online 24/7, so you’ll still be able to browse and buy all your favorite Japanese products without issue.
We’ll be back in the office from January 3, from which point it’ll be business as usual.
