Based on Hifumi Asakura's original light novel series and illustrated by Yamakawa, The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World is published by Square Enix in their Monthly GFantasy shonen manga magazine.
It first appeared on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō, running from September 13, 2017, to June 24, 2021. The series caught the attention of SB Creative and Tugikuru Corporation, who took over its publication under their Tugikuru Books light novel imprint. The light novel began its official release on May 10, 2018, and as of April 10, 2019, three volumes have been made available to readers.
The TV anime adaptation, directed by Yoshihide Yuuzumi at East Fish Studio, features Masanao Akahoshi handling the series composition, with Hiroyuki Moriguchi crafting the character designs and Kujira Yumemi composing the music.
Ken'ichi, the central character, is voiced by Junichi Suwabe, while Primura is portrayed by Kaede Hondo. Anemone is animated through the voice of Misaki Kuno, with Myarey and Nyamena voiced by Miyu Tomita and Yū Kobayashi respectively.
Adding to the ambiance, Asaka performs the opening theme song, "GIVE & TAKE," setting the tone for this highly-anticipated series.
