It seems that the development of Death Sauce was triggered by a playful trick by Blair Lazar, who was 19 and working as a bartender. He wanted to get the party all-nighters, who wouldn't leave even after closing time, to go home. The trick was to have them eat "Wing of Death" (Chicken Wings) marinated in extremely spicy sauce, and if they could finish it, they could stay and play. He realized that people who like spicy food increasingly demand spicier things, and that "spiciness captivates people." After repeated trials and errors, Blair's Death Sauce was completed.


"FEEL ALIVE"
Blair describes the experience of suffering (and enjoying) extreme spiciness, desperately seeking water to drink, and the subsequent pleasure as "FEEL ALIVE."

In 2007, Blair's quest for spiciness reached its peak (or perhaps a milestone for him!). It was officially registered in the Guinness Book of Records. 16 million Reserve is certified as the world's hottest "substance" available on the market. The contents are pure capsaicin crystals in a 1ml pharmaceutical container, and it is absolutely not for consumption!!
