ローリング・ストーンズ長年のキャリアの中で眠る膨大な未発表スタジオ音源アーカイブから突如流出し話題騒然となった”完全に完成したスタジオ・アウトテイクス”。古くは１９６７年から２００２年までそのほとんどがこれまで聴いたことがない初登場音源５０曲をまとめて収録した欧州製オリジナル３CD『FULLY FINISHED STUDIO OUTTAKES』は既に入手困難。その後同内容のCDRコピー等も出回りましたがオリジナル盤は収録音源自体は衝撃ながら年代もランダムに収録されデータも不正確であったり一部ノイズやカットも散見される編集内容でした。この拡張改訂版『クロニクル』ではタイトル通り時系列に再構成。６７年『サタニック・マジェスティーズ』時期から始まり７０年代デヴィッド・ボウイが参加した「IT'S ONLY ROCK'N'ROLL」、ジョン・レノンとの共演「TOO MANY COOKS」、ジミー・ペイジ参加の「SCARLET」等の注目トラックが続き８０年代から９０年代にかけても過去に出回った数あるアウトテイクスとは別次元の”完成形”の初登場音源をオリジナル盤での誤情報を修正して時系列に年代や場所、バージョン等のレコーディング・データも詳細表記したうえで収録することで音源リファレンスとしても判りやすい内容になっています。またオリジナル盤の欠点であった冒頭音飛びの「STRICTLY MEMPHIS」はじめ「BLOOD RED WINE」「DEEP LOVE」「IVY LEAGUE」等の微細なデジノイズも修復。さらに全曲オリジナル盤より一段と明瞭感が増したリマスター効果で音質クオリティもアップデイトされています。そしてオリジナル盤５０曲に加えDISC４には新たに１９曲を追加収録。オリジナル盤に２曲だけ収録されていた２００２年”４０LICKS”セッションの続きとなる１２曲を収録。さらに最新リーク音源として注目されているオリジナル盤未収録の７トラックもリマスター音源で収録。オリジナル盤とは異なる修復リマスター音源による拡張改訂版として大推薦の最新コレクターズ・アイテムです！
