"Coal Scrap Dumping Ground" (Video Production: Sakatsu Gallery)
A small locomotive toddles through the swamp. When it reached the landmark signs, the locomotive suddenly tilted the trolley and started dumping coal dust. A neighbor lady was also in the driver's seat, as if she had come to deliver a forgotten item to a coal miner. This is a scene from an era when both service regulations and environmental concerns were more relaxed, a section piece from the O Narrows.
The locomotive has been tweaked around the chimney, added lots of accessories, and finished with a weathering paint job. White swirls of discarded ash on the swamp. The skillful choice of dolls. Each of them is a unique expression of Mr. Nishimura, who is active as an illustrator. We hope you enjoy this work filled with a playful spirit.
